Calatrava

The Milwaukee Art Museum is dominated by the Quadracci Pavilion (2001) created by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. It's adjacent to the War Memorial Center (1957) designed by Eero Saarinen which houses a large portion of the Museum's 25,000 works. I shot this during a snow storm using the overcast sky as a backdrop to the Museum's compelling internal and external shapes.

The Amangiri Resort in Utah is nestled in a remote canyon on the northern part of the Navajo Nation. Surrounded by spectacular scenario, it is close to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, which includes sacred Navajo sites, slot canyons, and views of the Colorado River at Horseshoe Bend.
